Grab a Slice for a Cause: The Inaugural Colorado Pizza Festival Hits Longmont This Weekend!

Pizza lovers, mark your calendars! The inaugural Colorado Pizza Festival is taking over downtown Longmont this Saturday, September 5, 2026, for a massive, day-long community block party. From 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the intersection of 4th Ave. and Kimbark St. will be completely closed to cars, transforming into a vibrant hub of local craft food, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

Whether you're after the perfect New York slice, local craft beer, or live funk music, this inaugural festival brings together the very best of Colorado’s culinary scene for an unbeatable cause.

Colorado Pizza Festival

What to Expect at the Festival

  • 20+ Top-Tier Pizzerias: Sample slices from premier Colorado pie makers, including local favorites like Urban Field Pizza, Rosalee’s Pizzeria, and Antonio’s Real NY Pizza.

  • All-Day Live Music: Catch electric performances by The Motet: Funk is Dead, The Other Brothers, and David Lawrence + The Spoonful.

  • Local Drinks: Sip on craft beer, wine, and spirits poured by Longmont’s homegrown breweries, distilleries, and wineries.

  • Competitions & Sweepstakes: Cheer on contestants in the Amateur Pizza Competition and Pizza Olympics, or enter the sweepstakes to win a donated wood-fired pizza oven!

  • Family Fun: Free bouncy castles and interactive games keep kids entertained all day long.

Ticket Options & Admission

  • General Admission ($15 + fees): Full entry to the block party, live music performance access, and vendor grounds.

  • Golden Ticket ($50 + fees): The ultimate option for serious pizza fans—includes all-you-can-eat pizza samples from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM along with general festival admission.

  • Kids 12 & Under: FREE entry!

Supporting Front Range Hunger Relief

Beyond the incredible food and tunes, every bite supports a vital mission. All festival proceeds go directly toward fighting food insecurity in Colorado. Beneficiaries include Slice Out Hunger, Longmont Food Rescue, Community Food Share, and Colorado Friendship.

How to Get Involved

Want to help out behind the scenes? 3-hour volunteer shifts are available for setup, slice service, ID checkpoints, and teardown. Experienced servers and bartenders are especially needed for the ID checkpoints.

Ready to secure your tickets or sign up to volunteer? Head over to the official event site at coloradopizzafestival.com. See you downtown this Saturday!
