Community, Family Fun, Local 5K

Join Us at the Sunrise Stampede 5K in Longmont!

Lace up, Longmont! The Sunrise Stampede 5K and 1‑Mile Fun Run are back on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Fall River Elementary School and Stephen Day Park, and we’d love to see you there!

1. Celebrate Community Involvement

The Sunrise Stampede is a Longmont tradition of nearly 40 years, bringing neighbors, students, and local businesses together in one uplifting morning! From Sponsor Alley to cheering sections along the course, you’ll feel the community energy from start to finish.

2. Support Local Education with Every Step

Proceeds benefit the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation, funding educator grants, special education programs, and student mental health initiatives! Your registration, or even your cheering from the sidelines, helps classrooms across the district thrive.

3. Enjoy a Truly Family-Friendly Event

With a timed 5K Run/Walk and a relaxed 1‑Mile Fun Run, there’s something for every pace and every age! Strollers, first‑time walkers, and seasoned runners are all welcome, and kids can join the School Spirit Challenge to cheer on their school.

Michelle Phelan, part of our Morning Edge group, helps facilitate this event, so come run, walk, or simply cheer. Your presence makes a difference!
